PORT JEFFERSON - A battle over music is raging in one North Shore village.Music wafts through the air on Main Street in Port Jefferson, attracting diners and bar customers. But Village Trustee Larry LaPointe says neighbors have been complaining about noisy music into the wee hours along the strip.Now the village is demanding that businesses get permits for music.Residents that spoke to News 12 Long Island were split on the issue. Some said they like the music, while others called it bothersome.
