ELMONT - Nassau police and SWAT teams locked down an Elmont neighborhood today after they received a 911 call about shots fired, and officials say three men are in custody tonight. A witness says that police honed in on a yellow home at the corner of Herbert Avenue and Pelham Street and ordered three men out of the home with their hands on their heads. Police have not yet disclosed information on charges the men might be facing or on possible injuries.
