Police: Shannan Gilbert's body may be at Gilgo Beach

WOODBURY - Suffolk County police say that based on information received by detectives, they believe the body of missing woman Shannan Gilbert may be in the thick underbrush near Gilgo Beach.Police say they're planning to search the area again, although they're currently unsure when that search will take place. Yesterday, police announced that they now think just one serial killer is responsible for murdering all 10 victims found along Ocean Parkway. Earlier theories had two or more killers using the desolate stretch as a dumping ground for victims.Police also say they believe the killer is probably a Long Islander.Cops: 1 killer is behind Gilgo murders, probably a LIerOak Beach home at the center of serial murders probe up for saleNews 12 LI coverage: Ocean Parkway murders
