Police seek LIE hit-and-run dump truck driver
DIX HILLS - The hunt is on for the hit-and-run dump truck driver who police say caused a crash on the Long Island Expressway.
Authorities say the accident happened on the LIE near exit 51 in Dix Hills last night. Police say the truck driver rear-ended a car, which then hit two vehicles.
Investigators say one driver, 83-year-old William Broer, was airlifted to the hospital.
