HEMPSTEAD - Students at Hempstead High School are being greeted by police this morning after a bomb threat was made last night.

Officials say a Hempstead High School administrator alerted police yesterday about the threat that a bomb would go off today.

The district then started alerting parents with phone calls yesterday.

News 12 Long Island does not know the exact nature of the threat.

However, police will be searching the school this morning before it opens as a precaution.
