KINGS POINT - Police say they are searching for a suspect who abducted a woman at gunpoint from a Kings Point bus stop last Monday.

The abduction took place at a bus stop on Stepping Stone Lane. Detectives say the 38-year-old victim's terrifying ordeal lasted 15 minutes while she pleaded with her captor for her release. He eventually dropped her off unharmed a short distance from the Great Neck train station and then fled.

Residents say they are stunned and deeply concerned about safety following the incident.

Nassau County Police say they're looking for a white male with a medium build in his 50s.
