MEDFORD - Police and loved ones are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing young woman from Medford.

Sarah Goode, 21, has not been heard from since Friday, although her car has been discovered.

Suffolk police combed a wooded area along Fire Avenue in Medford yesterday near where Goode's 1999 BMW was found. Police are calling the discovery "suspicious."

A neighbor who lives across from the woods says she called police after seeing the car parked there all weekend.

Detectives haven't said what prompted them to deem the discovery suspicious other than the unusual location where the car was found. Goode's family says the location isn't near any of her friends' homes.

Relatives say Goode has never run away before, and they add that she has a 4-year-old daughter.

Anyone with information on Goode's possible whereabouts is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
