Police search for armed robber accused of tying up workers at West Babylon clothing store

WEST BABYLON - Police are searching for an armed robber accused of tying up two workers at a West Babylon clothing store.

Just after 9 p.m. Monday a masked man entered a New York & Company store on Montauk Highway, according to police.

News 12 Long Island has been told the robber displayed a handgun, forced the female workers into a back room, tied them up, and took money from the register.

The women were not hurt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
