WEST BABYLON - Police say they have arrested a Boy Scout leader from West Babylon for providing drugs and alcohol to one of his scouts.
According to police, Lawrence Moschitta provided alcohol, marijuana and LSD to a 13-year-old boy. In addition, police say Moschitta used marijuana and LSD in the presence of the juvenile at his home on Dec. 3.
He was arrested on Sunday but Suffolk police did not release information about the case until reporters obtained court documents.

Moschitta, 32, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree. He is currently out on bail.
His attorney told News 12 Long Island that Moschitta pleaded not guilty and that the allegations against him are "untrue and unsubstantiated."
Police say that Moschitta served as an assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troop 183. The alleged victim was part of the troop, officials say.
A person familiar with the case says that Moschitta is no longer allowed to volunteer with the scouts. Deputy Suffolk Police Commissioner Tim Sini did not comment about the case when asked.
The CEO of the Suffolk Council of the Boy Scouts did not answer News 12's emails or calls for comment.
