WOODBURY - Police pulled two people from a burning house in Coram yesterday.

Police say the pair was trapped by heavy fire and smoke on the second floor of the home. They reportedly were spotted hanging out a window, which spurred three officers to run upstairs and help them out.

Another resident on the first floor escaped on her own.

Both of the rescued victims are recovering today.

News 12 has learned that the fire allegedly started in the kitchen.
