ELMONT - Police say they have obtained surveillance photos of the man who they say is behind two bias crimes in Elmont.

Investigators say late Tuesday night, the suspect spray-painted the letters "KKK" on the Smart Stop Deli and J & M Service Recovery on Hempstead Turnpike.

Police describe the suspect as a black man wearing a ski cap, white nylon coat, dark-colored pants and carrying a bag with a shoulder strap.
