EAST MEADOW - An East Meadow family says the police paid them a visit over their online search history.

Michele Catalano says a team of detectives came to her Wellington Road house to question her and her family's searches online for pressure cookers, backpacks and articles on the Boston Marathon bombings.

Catalano told News 12 she wouldn't delve deeper into the details for fear of repercussions from authorities. On her blog, Catalano says the family did not know their seemingly innocent, if curious to a fault, Internet searches would be flagged.

Suffolk police say they received a tip from a Bay Shore computer company that one of Catalano's searches had contained the words "pressure cooker bombs" and "backpacks" on a company computer.

Officials say further investigation showed that the Catalanos did not commit a crime.
