HEMPSTEAD - Hempstead Town Hall was evacuated due to a bomb threat Friday.

All workers were forced out of the building while police searched inside. No one was hurt and nothing suspicious was found.

The threat was called in at around 12:30 p.m. and the building remained closed for about five hours.
