CENTRAL ISLIP - Suffolk police say  the 11-year-old Central Islip girl who was reported missing early Sunday morning has been found safe.

Further details on where and how the girl was found were not immediately available, but police said Sunday evening that Jada Joseph "has returned home, unharmed."

Police had originally said that the girl was discovered missing from her bedroom at her East Cherry Street home early this morning. Her mother had contacted police shortly before 4:30 a.m.

Detectives had said they did not believe there was any foul play connected with Joseph’s disappearance.
