GREAT NECK - Police are looking for the suspect who robbed a woman and inappropriately touched her on a street in Great Neck this week.

It happened around 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7. Investigators say the victim, a 39-year-old woman, was walking on Middle Neck Road when a male suspect approached her from behind, covered her mouth and demanded cash. He displayed a knife.

The victim said she had no money. The suspect then rummaged through her pockets and removed two cellphones, police say.

The suspect then inappropriately touched the woman, according to police. The victim attempted to bite his hand, which was still covering her mouth.

The man fled on foot, heading south on Middle Neck Road.

The woman called police, and the proceeds of the robbery were recovered along Middle Neck Road.

The suspect is described as a white man with a thin build who stood around 5 feet 10 inches tall.He wore a blue hooded jacket, gray pants with a gray stripe, black gloves, a dark knit hat and dark shoes.
