LEVITTOWN - Police are searching for the man behind an early morning home invasion in Levittown.

Detectives say the man entered a North Jerusalem Road home through an unlocked front door around 4:40 a.m. They say he was armed with a knife and a lead pipe.

News 12 Long Island is told that the man forced three victims into a bathroom, then ransacked the home. He was able to steal car keys and an ATM card.

Police say another resident arrived at the home during the incident and locked himself in a bedroom. While that resident called police, the suspect took off in one of the victims' car.

There were no injuries.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
