Police: Man killed in Bay Shore hit-and-run

Police say a Bay Shore man was killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday.

BAY SHORE - Police say a Bay Shore man was killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday.

Police say Emmanuel DeJesus Cruz Zavala was walking on Candlewood Road around 5 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle.

The 33-year-old was rushed to Southside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police believe the car involved was a dark-colored sedan with damage to the front fender on the passenger side.
