BALDWIN - Police say a 22-year-old man was shot and killed as he sat in a car in Baldwin last night, and a friend of the victim was seriously wounded in the shooting.
Police say the shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. on Adams Street.
According to investigators, Anthony Richards, 22, was sitting inside a black Mercedes when he and a friend were both shot multiple times.
Police say the other victim, who has not been identified, was able to go to a nearby house to get help. The homeowner called 911, police say.
Family members tell News 12 Long Island that Richards was inside the car with a friend waiting for another friend who lived in the area to come out of his house.
Police say the second victim remains in serious condition, but is expected to survive. There have been no arrests in the case yet, according to investigators.
