Police: Man arrested in Coram fatal hit-and-run

According to police, Abdelgheni Dakyouk, 48, of East Patchogue, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an incident without report involving a fatality.

CORAM - Police have arrested the man they say is responsible for a deadly hit-and-run in Coram. 

According to police, Abdelgheni Dakyouk, 48, of East Patchogue, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an incident without report involving a fatality. 

Dakyouk is accused of hitting an unidentified man on Route 112 in Coram on Saturday. 

Police say the man was walking between Granny Road and Route 25 when he was struck. 

The identity of the victim has not yet been positively identified.
