YAPHANK - Police say a man wanted in four Long Island bank robberies during the past month has been arrested today.
Authorities say Michael Walsh was taken into custody near his home in East Elmhurst, Queens. Walsh is accused of robbing a People's United Bank branch in East Northport on June 30 and a Chase Bank branch on July 26.
He also allegedly robbed banks in Manhasset and East Hills.
Walsh, 58, so far has been charged with two counts of first-degree robbery.
