HUNTINGTON STATION - Police are investigating in Huntington Station after a man was found dead on his front lawn early Saturday.

Police responded to 91 Wyman St. at 4:25 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a disturbance. Responding officers found 38-year-old Larry Collins on the lawn with injuries to his abdomen.

Authorities say he was involved in some type of a physical altercation.

He was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner is working to determine the weapon used to stab Collins, as well as the number of wounds he suffered.
