BLUE POINT - Police are investigating who is responsible for a boat crash early this morning.

The boat hit a jetty in the Great South Bay in Blue Point around 4 a.m.

Police say the two men on board, Jarett Brownie, of Patchogue, and Thomas Gamble, of Florida, ditched the boat and climbed to shore.

Officers found Brownie and Gamble on a private dock.

They say Brownie suffered head injuries and Gamble broke his foot.    

Police are trying to determine which man was driving the boat.
