Police investigate source of shots fired into Hempstead home

Police are trying to figure out who fired bullets into a Hempstead home with two young kids inside.The three gunshots were fired just before midnight

HEMPSTEAD - Police are trying to figure out who fired bullets into a Hempstead home with two young kids inside.

The three gunshots were fired just before midnight on Byrd Street.

Officials say a 24-year-old man was at home with his four-month-old and 7-year-old at the time. No one was hurt during the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
