RIDGE - Police have identified the man who was killed in a crash on the William Floyd Parkway this weekend.

Suffolk County police say 30-year-old Ryan McCready, of Shirley, lost control of his car and swerved off the road. Investigators say he veered into the woods, where he crashed into several trees.

McCready was found Saturday morning on the southbound side of the parkway, just north of Longwood Road in Ridge, by a passing motorist.

There is still no word on what caused McCready to lose control of his vehicle.
