SADDLE ROCK - Police say the Saddle Rock mayor was attacked outside village hall by a former candidate for village trustee.Saddle Rock Mayor Dan Levy suffered a broken arm and shoulder, as well as cuts to his head, when police say Sasha Marsi attacked him Wednesday after a village hall meeting. Levy says Marsi has had a problem with him since March when Marsi ran against Levy in the village trustee election and lost. Levy, who became mayor when his predecessor died, says Marsi came to village hall meetings and heckled him. Levvy, who is also an eye surgeon, says he's worried he won't be able to perform surgeries anymore due to his arm and shoulder injuries. Meanwhile, Marsi was arraigned on several charges today, including assault, criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
