GLEN COVE - Police say a Glen Cove middle school student compiled a list of people to kill.
According to investigators, a seventh-grader at Finley Middle School wrote out a pair of lists that indicated people he wanted to either hurt or murder. A fellow student swiped the list and handed it to a teacher.
Detectives say the list included students, faculty and members of student's family.
"The principal is contacting the parents of all those who appeared on the list," District Superintendent Dr. Joseph Laria said in a statement. "We take all threats very seriously and will continue to cooperate with officials throughout the investigation."
Police have since interviewed the suspect and have determined he should undergo a mental evaluation. He has been suspended.
