Police: Drunken Brentwood mom crashed with kids in car

CENTRAL ISLIP - A Brentwood mother is accused of driving drunk and crashing with her three children in the car early this morning, police say.According to police, 30-year-old Ana Rios was arrested at around 4:30 a.m. on Cypress Street in Central Islip. Investigators say she slammed into a parked pickup truck and a Toyota Camry, and then drove off. Police say they became suspicious of Rios after seeing the severely damaged hood of her Chevy TrailBlazer.Investigators say Rios' three kids, including a 2-month-old boy in a car seat, were taken to the hospital, but are all fine. They have been released into the care of their grandfather. Under Leandra's Law, Rios was charged with a felony for allegedly driving while intoxicated with children in the car. If convicted, she could get seven years in prison.
