NEW HYDE PARK - A teen charged in a fatal New Hyde Park crash pleaded not guilty in a hospital bedside arraignment this afternoon.

Deepak Kumar, 17, pleaded not guilty to vehicular manslaughter and driving while ability impaired by drugs in the crash that killed a 55-year-old California man.

The crash happened Tuesday night on Covert and Second avenues in New Hyde Park.

Kumar is being held on $500,000. His license has been suspended and he has had to surrender his passport.
