COPIAGUE - A Copiague mother was arraigned Thursday after she allegedly left her child alone inside a running car in the parking lot of the Levittown Target store.

Officers were called to the parking lot on Hempstead Turnpike around 3:30 p.m. When they arrived, Medvid came out of the store and told the officers she'd only been gone a few minutes.

Her child was not hurt and was released to a family friend.
