Cops say a police chase in Suffolk ended with two cars, including an officer's, going into the water.The incident happened in Remsenburg early this morning

BROOKHAVEN - Cops say a police chase in Suffolk ended with two cars, including an officer's, going into the water.

The incident happened in Remsenburg early this morning near Basket Neck Lane.

Southampton police say an officer was pursuing a car that wouldn't stop and both vehicles ended up in the water.

There were no injuries reported during the incident.

The driver, Vincent Thomas, 36, is facing numerous charges including driving a stolen vehicle and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
