BOHEMIA - ? Police have arrested an ACME driver for allegedly driving drunk in an unoccupied school bus.

Cops responded to 911 calls on Wednesday after a Ford minibus was traveling westbound on the LIE, east of exit 60 in Ronkonkoma with one tire missing.

Following a traffic stop, interview and sobriety tests, police arrested the driver, Robert Stundis, 48, of Bohemia. According to officials, Stundis submitted to blood alcohol testing, which revealed a BAC of .23.

Although no children were on the bus at the time of the arrest, Stundis stated that he had dropped off students from a middle school earlier. Officials say an open vodka bottle was recovered in the bus. A friend tells News 12 Long Island that Stundis is a recovering alcoholic who had been clean for six years until he started drinking again this summer. Stundis has prior arrests for DWI and petty theft. His license has been suspended, officials say.
