WOODBURY - Police say they broke up two parties overnight in Nassau County and arrested the hosts for allowing minors attending the parties to consume alcohol.

The 5-year-old social host law holds anyone over 18 responsible if they allow underage drinking inside their home.

The first party police say they broke up was in Lake Success where Pamela Neff was arrested for hosting a party full of teens and alcohol.

A second party was broken up in Merrick where police arrested 19-year-old James Valle for allowing minors to drink in his house and also for resisting arrest.

Officials say Valle has already been arraigned in court and Neff is due in court on May 25.
