FIRE ISLAND - Police say the body of an adult male was found Monday about a mile off the Fire Island Inlet.

Police say they received a call about the body around 1 p.m. after it was found by a passing boat.

The body was transported to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy and to be identified.

As News 12 has reported, 50-year-old Roberto Vasquez, of Babylon, went missing after the fishing boat he was in with two friends capsized near Fire Island Inlet.

The two other men were rescued alive.
