Police: Body found in burnt truck in Hampton Bays; no criminality suspected

HAMPTON BAYS - Investigators say criminality is not suspected after a man's body was found in a burning pickup truck on the East End.

The truck was found on a beach near North Road in Hampton Bays Saturday afternoon.

Police say the charred remains of the man were discovered on the driver's side seat.

The man has not been identified.

Anyone with information is urged to call Southampton Town Police at 631-702-2230.
