Police: 5 dead in Southern State Parkway crash in North Babylon

Five people are dead, including two children and a teenager, after a fiery car crash on the Southern State Parkway.

The crash happened near exit 39 in the westbound lanes, within the town of Babylon. State police say the driver, 37-year-old Myriam Lebrun of Brooklyn, veered off the road and hit a tree just before 11 p.m. Saturday. The 1998 Honda vehicle burst into flames.
