LONG BEACH - A massive house party in Long Beach had a dramatic conclusion when it was broken up by police and three severely intoxicated minors were taken away on stretchers.

Police say they received a call about a large party with underage drinking shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday night. Officers responded to the scene at 1215 West Park Ave.

The Long Beach police commissioner says it was massive party with approximately 150 to 200 underage persons drinking.

As the party was dispersed, police say they found three minors who were severely intoxicated with possible alcohol poisoning. The minors' ages were not released, but they were described as children.

Those three were hospitalized for treatment.

Neighbors News 12 spoke with say they are concerned and this isn't the first time.

"It looked like a riot at first, the kids were running around screaming. This isn't the first time it happened here, this house is prone to problems of underage drinking," said Christopher Larson, of Long Beach.

An unidentified 19-year-old was issued a summons for violating the social host ordinance, officials say.

News 12 reached out to Long Beach police to find out if the parents or homeowners were home during the party and if any other charges are pending, but calls were not returned.
