Police: 2 dead in murder-suicide at Commack Motor Inn

Police say two bodies were found at the Commack Motor Inn following a suspected murder-suicide Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say a man murdered a woman and then killed himself. Their bodies were discovered by hotel management.

COMMACK - Police say two bodies were found at the Commack Motor Inn following a suspected murder-suicide Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say a man killed a woman and then killed himself. Their bodies were discovered by hotel management.

Suffolk police responded to the location at 2231 Jericho Turnpike after receiving a call at 12:33 p.m. Police say the motel manager went to the room because it was past checkout time.

Detective Lt. Kevin Beyrer says it appeared that the male victim had a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The identities of the deceased were not immediately released.
