BAY SHORE - More than a dozen cars in a Bay Shore community were vandalized and damaged overnight.

Police say 17 cars were broken into, some of which had broken windows and missing belongings.

Authorities say the incidents occurred between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. along Brooklyn, Manatuck and Pine Acres boulevards.

Police believe all of the break-ins are connected and that the suspect or suspects fled on foot.
