JERICHO - Police say a man was killed and two other people were hurt, one of them seriously, after a wrong-way crash on the Long Island Expressway early yesterday. The crash happened at around 4:15 a.m. by northbound exit 41 in Jericho. Police say a black Honda was headed eastbound in the westbound lanes on the Expressway. She suffered multiple internal injuries and was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in serious condition. The 49-year-old male driver of the Mercedes was hospitalized in "stable but guarded condition," according to investigators. All westbound lanes were closed for hours this morning as police worked to investigate. The Expressway has since been reopened.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released. Police say the investigation is continuing.
