NORTH AMITYVILLE - One person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting in North Amityville, police say.

The shooting occurred just before 2 a.m. Saturday on Coolidge Avenue, right in front of the Hollywood Lodge No. 92.

Police say the shooting came after a fight that started outside the lodge, which involved at least five people. The victims were transported to an area hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other two are expected to be OK.

The victim who died has been identifed as 44-year-old Louis Wilson, of Kansas City, Missouri. Friends at the scene say all of the men who were hit by gunfire were brothers.

Authorities say they are trying to figure out what led up to the fight and subsequent shooting.

Neighbors tell News 12 that the lodge is often a source of violence in the area.

Investigators ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
