Point Lookout Sept. 11 memorial readied for anniversary

Memorials will take place around the nation tomorrow to mark the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, and crews are making the final preparations

POINT LOOKOUT - Memorials will take place around the nation tomorrow to mark the 11th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, and crews are making the final preparations on a memorial in Point Lookout. A 30-foot steel beam from the World Trade Center and a replica of the fallen towers will be the focal point of tomorrow's service. Guests will be able to write messages and the names of loved ones on a wall. Officials say it's a place for people to celebrate the lives of those who were lost in the terrorist attacks. The Point Lookout ceremony begins tomorrow at 7:30 a.m.
