EAST PATCHOGUE - A crumbling theater is set to be demolished in Suffolk County.

The old Plaza Theater on Main Street in East Patchogue showed its last movie in the 80s and is now a symbol of community blight.

This summer, the theater will be knocked down, according to Newsday.

Brookhaven seized the property through eminent domain.

An office complex is expected to be built in its place.
