HAUPPAUGE - A man accused of raping a Stony Brook woman is facing new charges.

Patrick O'Sullivan was arrested last November and is accused of raping a woman at gunpoint in Stony Brook. O'Sullivan has been in jail for the past year.

The district attorney's office announced that O’Sullivan is now facing new charges including conspiracy to commit murder, among others.

District Attorney Thomas Spota called O’Sullivan a dangerous individual who tried to hire another inmate as a hit man to kill the victim. The inmate then turned into an informant.
