PATCHOGUE - Voters across Long Island will head to the polls for village elections tomorrow, and residents of Patchogue will be deciding on a proposal for a major makeover in their downtown area.Mayor Paul Pontieri's plan to transform the area known as the Four Corners would add 291 rental apartments, plus 55,000 square feet of retail and office space. Some residents argue that the downtown area is already too crowded and congested. Others say it would bring more customers and more small businesses to Main Street.
