Parades held to honor veterans across LI

In honor of Veterans Day, there are parades and events being held from New Hyde Park to the Hamptons.

In addition, there are tours of the USS New York in New York City from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

WOODBURY - Today we salute our veterans on Long Island and around the world.

In honor of Veterans Day, parades and events were held all day from New Hyde Park to the Hamptons.

In addition, there were tours of the USS New York in New York City from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The ship's bow is made from 7 1/2 tons of steel from the World Trade Center.

On Long Island, there were parades in Smithtown, Kings Park, Southampton and other communities.
