GREAT NECK - Activist Pamela Geller, who is known for her anti-Islam viewpoints, will speak at Chabad of Great Neck this weekend.

Geller’s Stop Islamization of America has been classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League. Her speech was originally slated to be delivered at the Great Neck Synagogue, but was canceled. The synagogue claims it was due to security concerns.

Geller called the cancellation “craven” and “cowardly,” but her speech is expected to pack the house at its new location. Rabbi Yoseph Geisinsky, of Chabad of Great Neck, doesn’t qualify the appearance as one of hate.

“Based on my conversations with her, she’s not about hatred,” says Geisinsky. “She will speak about unity, respect and love of this country and Israel and positive things that we all support.”
