OYSTER BAY - An Oyster Bay woman is the first person on Long Island to be diagnosed with the West Nile virus this season.

West Nile has been appearing in mosquito samples all across the Island, but the unidentified woman is the first human case.

Health officials say the woman came down with symptoms in early August. She was hospitalized and is now recovering at home.
