FRANKLIN SQUARE - Authorities say a Franklin Square man stopped the theft of his car last night.

Anthony DiZinno says he started up his Honda SUV to get it warmed up last night and then went back into his home. When he looked out the window, he saw the car slowly rolling down the driveway.

DiZinno thought his car had jumped out of park and started moving backward. Police say he ran outside and, to his surprise, found 42-year-old John Britto behind the wheel. DiZinno pulled the suspect out of his car. Then, a neighbor stopped the car and helped DiZinno restrain the suspect.

Police arrived and found a bottle of wine they say belonged to Britta in the front seat. Britta was charged with robbery, DWI and unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
