PRETORIA, South Africa - Olympian Oscar Pistorius has been granted bail after he was charged with killing his model girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

A South African judge claims the double amputee is not a flight risk nor a risk to the community as he has never had a propensity for violence before.

Pistorius posted his $113,000 bail and was allowed to leave court. He must surrender his passport and guns, as well as check in with police twice a week. Another condition of his bail is he is prohibited to drink alcohol.

Pistorius is due back in court sometime in June.
