BAYVILLE - Officials say they have responded to a yacht capsizing in the waters off of Bayville just after 10 p.m.

There have been reports of as many as 25 people aboard, including children. News 12 Long Island has heard 23 of those 25 have been rescued. Officials have set up two rescue areas- one in Roosevelt Park and the other in Sewanhaka Yacht Club. Officials say at least six people have been brought to the hospital.

There is no word on what caused the boat to go over.
